Who is Lino?
Internationally renowned stylist Lino Carbosiero is a leading hairdresser who has worked with many famous actors, politicians, models and celebrities.
His talent for hair and style has led him to consult and work on many famous TV shows. His expertise in hair and style also means that he has contributed many newspaper columns giving advice and opinions.
Recently Lino discovered a precious secret. It is a rare and mystical golden drop that can restore health and maintain beauty, a golden drop that civilizations past believed held the secret to eternal youth.
This prized golden drop that comes from the trunk of a small tree (Pistacia Lentiscus var. Chia) which grows exclusively on the Hellenic Island of Chios, is called Mastiha.

Lino's Products
All of the Lino range of products does not contain any Synthetic Essence or material using Mineral oil and /or Animal Oil. There are two types of oils that can be beneficial to hair and skin. These are the essential oils and the carrier oils. Essential Oils, like Mastiha Oil, are fragrant oils that are actually the concentrated essence of the plant. Essential oils are light and do not feel like oil, but they also evaporate quickly. Essential oils are usually added to a carrier oil to be applied to the hair or skin. Carrier oils are oily in texture and can be from a seed, fruit, vegetable or nut. Apart from oils, the Lino cosmetics also use extracts in liquid or powder form. They come from roots, leaves, flowers, bark and seeds.Here are some of the most important ingredients, second to Mastiha Oil, which are used in Lino cosmetics.
Sandalwood Essential Oil
Sandalwood is the name of fragrant woods from trees of the genus Santalum. The woods are heavy, yellow and fine grained and retain their fragrance for a long time. Essential oil is extracted from the woods. This has been valued for centuries and used in cosmetics and the production of incense. Sandalwood Essential Oil has many properties that make it good for the hair and scalp. Its main component, beta - santalol (about 90%), is astringent, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic. It is soothing to a dry and irritated scalp and it reduces the body heat.Lino's cosmetics use pure Sandalwood Essential Oil produced from trees at least 14 years old from Western Australia. It is organic and 100% pure. When using Lino's hair and body products with Sandalwood, you are transported closer to the divine. Your anxieties are forgotten, your desires are mellowed, whilst your alertness and self energy, while in meditation, is increased.
Organic Chocolate
Organic Chocolate is produced from the seed of the tropical Theobroma cacao tree. Cacao has been cultivated for at least 3,000 years in Mexico, Central and South America. Lino's chocolate is produced from organically grown and harvested cacao beans which are dried, cleaned, roasted, ground and liquefied, making the cocoa mass, which is pure chocolate. Organic Chocolate Shower Gel contains flavonoids which have anti-oxidant properties. These can protect against free radicals which can accelerate the ageing process. In addition, chocolate contains both Serotonin and Phenyl ethylamine, two "feel good" factors that are naturally released when we are happy and at peace with ourselves. It is said that the aroma of Chocolate brings to mind pleasurable images. He Shouwu
He Shouwu is a tuberous plant whose medicinal quality is found in its root. It is native in China. This herb, sometimes referred to as "Fo-Ti", or by its formal name Polygonum moltiflorum, is revered in Chinese medicine for its anti-aging and longevity-promoting effects. He Shouwu means "black haired Mr. He" and is named after an elderly Chinese who reportedly took the herb to restore his youth and vitality and saw the return of his black hair. This capacity to restore a person's natural hair color is one of its famous attributes.Hair color is produced by tiny hair pigment cells within hair follicles called melanocytes. When the activity of melanocytes declines, the result is grey hair. What happens actually is that at cellular level, excessive build-up of hydrogen peroxide interferes with the melanocytes, because it cannot be effectively broken down and cleared out. So the hair turns grey.
He Shouwu is a powerful anti-oxidant that neutralizes the body's production of hydrogen peroxide but also, taken internally, it works on the liver and kidneys to improve the quality of red blood cells and reverse the signs of aging.

Mint, also known as Mentha, is rooted in the Greek word "Minthe" who was a nymph who transformed into a mint plant.Lino's hair cosmetics use Mentha arvensis, also known as Wild Mint. It has rather rough aromatic leaves and mauve flowers. The leaf extract is taken from wild plants growing under orange and lemon trees on the Greek Island of Chios.The Chios Mint-leaves have been used for centuries to make tea as a remedy for stomach ache and chest pains. Mint was also known for its soothing the skin properties and used to treat insect (Greek zuzuni) bites.
Mint has antibacterial, astringent and antiallergic qualities. It cools the body and exhilarates the mind. It is marvelous for summer, it is wonderful for keeping you healthy the year round.
